About Chigusa Kamamasu
Chigusa Kamamasu, originally from Japan, began her Classical Ballet training at the age of four, continuing her studies for over 20 years in Japan and Brazil. From a young age, she was passionate about dance and the arts. In 2012, seeking spiritual growth and a deeper connection with herself, Chigusa turned to meditation and yoga. In 2015, she started learning Odissi dance at the Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Embassy of India, Tokyo, under the guidance of Ms. Kazuko Yasunobu, a disciple of Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. After three years of dedicated training, she moved to New Delhi in 2018 to further her studies under Guru Sharon Lowen, also a disciple of Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra, and Mr. Vishwanath Mangaraj, Guru Sharon Lowen’s senior disciple. Chigusa has performed in various locations, including Tokyo, Japan; Taipei, Taiwan; and several cities in India, such as New Delhi, NCR, Neemrana in Rajasthan, and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.
